Dr. Mars, Professor of Pathology and Clinical and Translational Science, is Director of the Cellular and Molecular Pathology Graduate Program, a member of the UPSOM graduate council, and a senior graduate faculty member who works closely with the MSTP and Graduate Studies offices as well as the Biomedical Graduate Student Association (BGSA). In addition to being an active research scientist, Dr. Mars is a dedicated mentor and teacher in the SOM and a past recipient of the SOM Distinguished Mentor award. On February 1, 2021, Dr. Mars was appointed as the first Assistant Dean for the Learning Environment who is dedicated to optimizing the graduate student learning experience.
